Job Outputs:

  • Accountable to the revenue targets of the assigned portfolio of channels
  • Preparation of proactive sales proposals to grow revenue within the assigned portfolio of channels
  • Develop strong client relationships and grow the companies advertiser base and revenues through direct client sales
  • A strategy roll-out and implementation role – proactive, innovative, share information, interpret industry needs
  • Mine active advertising categories within the digital environment and traditional media
  • Provide sales propositions that illustrate an understanding of the clients business while addressing the needs of the companies business
  • Promote holistic online communication solutions backed by the appropriate product knowledge
  • Active participation in sales presentations to agencies/clients
  • Maintain an intimate knowledge of the assigned portfolio of channels
  • Preparation of sales proposals for the companies account management team that meet the brief submitted by client/agency or the sales team
  • Develop strong client relationships and grow the companies advertiser base and revenues through direct client sales
Requirements
  • A team player: Proven ability to build productive relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong people skills: Ability to share information and interact at a strategic and senior management level
  • Sales, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Motivated, Passionate and Determined
  • Attention to detail, analytical and a thorough understanding of all media planning, buying and strategy
  • Knowledge of research tools – AMPS, ad index, Effective Measure, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Solution orientated and Accountable
  • Excellent communication skills – written & verbal
Advantageous
  • Matric + Marketing/Sales/Communication or related tertiary qualification a prerequisite
  • At least 2 years’ experience in digital advertising (media sales/media planning/media strategy and/or client service)
  • Negotiation / sales / presentation skills
  • Fully computer literate (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet etc.)
  • Knowledge of Web Analytic tools will be a prerequisite
  • Relevant media courses completed: SAARF/ AAA/ AMASA/ Etc. will be preferable
  • Strong references from previous employers and clients required
