Our client is a specialist media solutions company comprising radio, digital, events and TV. They operate in a rapidly changing media environment. Their focus is the creation of exceptional partnerships, bringing together different media worlds to create on entirely new one.

The main purpose of this position would be to manage the designated portfolio advertising clients and agencies and achieve portfolio targets on a monthly basis. You will be expected to educate the market on the online environment and to carry out any reasonable requests from the Digital Sales Manager.

Your key relationships will be:
1. Internal: National sales team, sponsorships & promotions team, trade marketing team, strategic marketing services, traffic & finance.
2. External: Designated clients & agencies.

 

Requirements
  • Obtain, analyze and apply market intelligence.
  • Set website revenue budgets relevant to your portfolio.
  • Develop a portfolio sales strategy to achieve set budgets.
  • To develop a detailed action plan to fulfill the sales strategy.
  • Regular reporting on sales activity.
  • Drive and actively engage in the sales process to ensure advertiser needs are met.
  • Monitoring of annual commitments and regular tracking of spend trends.
  • To build strong customer relations.
  • Develop new business and maintain existing business.
  • Ensure client service is superior.
  • Resolve client related problems.
  • Set up weekly breakfast sessions with agencies and clients.
  • Assist in brainstorming trade initiative
  • Educate the market on their position in the online environment
  • Assist in developing a monthly newsletter to end to the company client database.
Advantageous

Tertiary education in sales / marketing preferred
Experience requirements:

  • At least 4 years experience in advertising / media sales environment
  • Understanding of marketing tools: RAMS, Telmar, Adex, and Sociomonitor
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and telephonic
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player
  • Ability to work under pressure and a high stress tolerance level
  • Extended working hours without additional remuneration
  • Strong initiative and drive (positive and self motivated)
  • Able to make decisions
  • Above average problem solving ability
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Thorough understanding of marketing process
