Job description

Our client is looking for a proactive Online Marketing Specialist to join their dynamic team.They are looking for an energised and methodical self-starter who can take responsibility for conceptualising and executing their online strategy. They would work closely with their Sales and Business Development teams, and need to research target markets and industries and run results-driven online campaigns into these verticals.

This person should be motivated by the challenging and competitive B2B software environment and willing to become familiar with the technical aspects and features of our product. Experience in the ICT industry is beneficial.

This person needs to be organised and charismatic. They must be able to maintain and build our clients online presence and effectively and systematically define and manage Marketing and Sales Processes. They must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with relevant experience in online copywriting and SEO.

They would be responsible for managing our website and various online activities, conceptualising and driving our online strategy within our budget and proactively coming up with new ways for us to improve our online lead generation, lead nurturing and customer and partner campaigns.

  • Conceptualising and executing successful B2B lead generation campaigns through various online channels.
  • Tracking and reporting on the various online initiatives.
  • Working with designers in updating email templates, website pages and creating online campaigns.
  • Managing, maintaining and reporting on the website and website activity.
  • Managing email marketing campaigns to our database and external databases and optimising emails for Delivery, Open Rates, CTR, etc
  • Creating new content around our software and relevant data protection and business IT topics including blogs, articles, press releases, white papers and case studies and uploading this to the company site and various other platforms.
  • Online reputation management and growing online brand awareness.
  • Creating sales material and assisting with sales proposals and updating product presentations and other material.
  • Occasionally running Direct Marketing campaigns and assisting with Print Campaigns
  • Monitoring and managing the current Lead Scoring model and marketing automation system and ensuring streamlined integration with our CRM system.
  • Maintaining, growing and reporting on Social Media presence.
  • SEO Optimisation of new content on the site and external content channels.
  • Tracking success of nurturing email campaigns, updating emails appropriately and creating new Email content for partner and customer nurturing and education.
  • Writing cold calling scripts.
  • Working with the Business Developers in increasing the number of meetings and webex’s with new prospects.
  • Strategic planning and coordination of people and resources.
  • Writing canned emails for Business Development and Field Sales.
  • Maintaining and expanding the database of prospects.
  • Achieve Weekly / Monthly marketing milestones including minimum website unique visits, minimum monthly new leads and updating and growing the number of monthly new Opportunities
  • Researching markets and industry verticals and new Opportunities that exist in these verticals.
  • Participating in product training sessions, meetings, skills training and professional development.
  • Assisting with creating the monthly newsletter.
  •  Assisting with events and the collateral required for these events.
  • Updating and maintaining company material such as business cards, email signatures, letterheads and brochures.
  • Building a very good understanding of the technical aspects and features of our software to ensure effective and appropriate content.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years work experience
  • Fluent in English.
  • Previous experience within the ICT industry preferable.
  • Proven eMarketing track record.
  • Highly proficient at building and executing B2B marketing strategies.
  • Ability to understand and implement processes and drive marketing campaigns beyond lead generation through lead nurturing, sales qualification stages and customer relationship.
  • Experience with conceptualising, managing and tracking online campaigns- specifically Email Marketing, Content Marketing, Google AdWords and Affiliate Campaigns.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Analytics, Email Marketing systems, Social Media platforms and Website Content Management Systems (preferably WordPress)
  • Website Management, Administration and Analytics experience.
  • An understanding of online behaviour and online relationship management.
  • Experience in SEO optimisation, specifically through Content Marketing and Link Building.
  • Ability to manage and maintain a Lead Scoring model and work with CRM systems.
  • Strategic planning and coordination of people and resources.
  • Highly proficient online copywriting skills with the ability to write press releases, blogs, articles, white papers, case studies and more technical content around software features and value proposition.
  • Able to create product presentations and proposals where required.
  • Able to assist with RFP’s and other sales material.
  • Grow, maintain and manage databases and lists.
  • Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
  • Highly energetic and self-starter.
  • Prominent organization, presentation and reporting skills.
  • Should be interested in the B2B Software industry – industry knowledge around software systems or business data protection technologies beneficial.
