User Interface Designer

We are creating an internal User Experience team which will be responsible for driving the adoption of User Centred Design principles throughout the company. The team will also be ideating and creating next-generation digital experiences to facilitate consumption of our Services.
As a User Interface Designer you will be creating an intuitive and engaging design language and working with UX designers and front-end developers to apply this consistent language across This business. This will help drive user adoption as well as reinforce the brand and values of the company.
The team structure will be comprised of UX/Interaction Designers, UI Designers, and Front-end Developers. As a team, we will be prototyping next-generation ideas and working with various development teams across the business to implement them.
Responsibilities
- Create differentiating and future thinking user interface designs and interactive prototypes across multiple digital touch points – including web, tablet, mobile, app, interactive devices
- Create word class interface designs with deep focus on balancing people needs, business drivers and technical possibilities
- Be responsible for keeping abreast with latest industry developments, technical innovation and digital best practise that deliver groundbreaking concepts, benchmarking and best practise
- Maintain and evolve internal Digital Design language and work with internal teams to apply this across the business.
- Create visual language concepts, mood definition, behaviours, early design routes and presentation materials that articulate strategic design intent to stakeholders
- Communicate visual concepts both on paper and using software applications like Invison
- work on cross-platform applications to develop user experiences covering mobile phones, tablets, and computers
- re-design websites to make them responsive
- re-design or create mobile apps that are easy to use and are configured appropriately for smartphones and tablets
- ensure that an end-product design meets the core business objectives while providing users with the optimum experience in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, and engagement.
- Work in an AGILE manner.
Skills
- specialist software such as Axure, Sketch, and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Creation of interactive prototypes demonstrating interactive ideas and to test usability
- You’ll be strong in conceptualisation and visual communication and have exceptional design skills.
- an aptitude for using a logical, step-by-step approach to ensure designs are user-friendly and simple for end users
- the ability to relate well to other professionals and work in a specialist team

- Good work ethic and accountability.

- Good communication skills (especially with remote work).
